There is a large gap in available interventions for people who have been charged with DUIs, especially for first offenses. One one hand, there are people who made a mistake, and the DUI class, evaluation, and legal process itself is enough of an intervention to prevent it from happening again.
On the other hand, there are repeat offenders with more serious substance use problems who need to enroll in clinical treatment.
Somewhere in between is a sliding scale of need that is neither fully complex clinical care nor simple classes. For this majority there is there is an accountability program that combines daily micro learning interventions designed to break old patterns. This at-home recovery program is paired with unlimited access to live facilitated sessions. These cover a wide variety of topics to help reduce stress and build resilience in addition to addressing substance use and related issues.
DUIs can be a symptom of something else occurring in life, and appropriate interventions can help put people back into the driver’s seat of life.
